We grow gongura in greenhouse in Okeechobee, Florida. Greenhouse growing is precision farming technique and protects the plant from pests. This reduces and avoids additional inputs to grow high quality produce.
Once you receive the box, place the gongura in water just the same way flower bouquet is handled. This will revive the bunch from any transportation shock.
Freeze them:
Separate the leaves, wash and place them in ziplock bags to store them in freezer.
Semi fried leaves:
Separate the leaves, wash them, rinse them and fry them in wok with little oil, salt and turmeric. This fry can be stored in fridge for long and can be used in many dishes.
